“…If I were you, Iâwouldâappeal toâGod, and would present myâcase toâHim.
âŻ
He does greatâŻÂ andâunsearchableâthings, wonders withoutânumber.âŻ
He gives rain toâtheâearth and sends water toâtheâfields.
He sets theâlowly onâhigh, and mourners areâlifted toâsafety.
He frustrates theâschemes ofâtheâcrafty so that theyâŻachieve noâsuccess.
He traps theâwise inâtheirâcraftiness so that theâplans ofâtheâdeceptive
Are quickly brought toâanâend.
They encounter darkness byâday, and they grope atânoon as if it were night.
He saves theâneedy fromâtheirâsharpâwords⯠and from theâclutches ofâtheâpowerful.
So the poor haveâhope, and injustice shuts itsâmouth.
See how happy theâmanâis Godâcorrects;
So do not reject theâdiscipline ofâtheââ˘Almighty. For He crushes butâalso bindsâup;
He strikes, butâHisâhands alsoâheal.
He willârescue you fromâsixâcalamities;Â No harm willâtouch you inâseven.
In famine Heâwillâredeem you fromâdeath, and in battle, fromâtheâpower ofâtheâsword.
You will be safe fromâslanderâŻÂ and not fear destruction whenâitâcomes.
You will laugh atâdestruction andâhunger and not fear theâanimals ofâtheâearth.
For you will have aâcovenant withâtheâstones ofâtheâfield, and the wild animals willâbe atâpeace withâyou.
You will know thatâyourâtent isâsecure,
And nothing willâbeâmissing whenâyouâinspect yourâhome.
You will alsoâknow thatâyourâoffspring willâbeâmany
And yourâdescendants likeâtheâgrass ofâtheâearth.
You will approach theâgraveâŻÂ inâfullâvigor,âŻas a stack ofâsheaves isâgathered inâitsâseason.
We have investigatedâthis, andâitâisâtrue! Hear it andâunderstand it forâyourself.”
