Living Your “Blessed Life” Now

“I have come that they might have life, and have it abundantly!” – John 10:10 TLV

 

For Believers, “living  your best life now” is not found in this world or it’s ways. Our best life is yet to come for an eternity of days. But we can absolutely and most assuredly live our “blessed life” right now!

Jesus said,

“I have come that they might have life, and have it abundantly!” – John 10:10 TLV

This is the blessed life, the abundant life, the “I get to walk with Jesus everyday and experience His love and goodness!” life.

Praise God!

Psalms 23:6 says,

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,(that’s now!)

and I will dwell in the House of the LORD forever!” (that’s for eternity!)

So with that,

We can happily say, with peace and assurance, “I’m living my blessed life now!”

Pleasant Surprise

Yesterday,  I glanced out the backdoor and saw, not one, not two, but several beautiful bluebirds, perched on the ledge of our deck! It was so beautiful, and I got so excited, because we usually only see one or two such birds at a time, but it seems that since we’ve added a bird bath to our backyard garden this past spring, we get to see more birds than ever. These lovely little bluebirds were everywhere! On the deck, perched in a now leafless tree, and splashing all about in the rainwater filled bird bath! This was such a treat, such a pleasant surprise and I’m reminded that there are so many such blessings that surround me everyday, and I can’t help but wonder how many go unnoticed…

“O LORD, how manifold are your works! in wisdom have you made them all: the earth is full of your riches.”

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to you all, and a very special Mother’s day to my own dear Mom!

I’m so thankful for the mother that God has blessed me with. She is my friend, and has been a tower of strength for me, as she constantly gives of herself, and encourages me in the word of God. I am thankful for the example she has given me in mothering my own three children, and I am thankful for her own mother, my sweet grandma, who although she has gone on to be with Jesus, has left a loving legacy of motherhood for me as well, and my children still benefit from her example of love, courage, and faith.

Just as the Apostle Paul said of Timothy, in 2 Timothy 1:51; ” When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that  in thee also.”  My grandmother, who introduced me to Christ, and my mother, who continually encourages me in Him, have blessed me, and instilled in me, the treasure of possessing an unfeigned faith in God, loving Jesus, and trusting in His Word, for which I am eternally grateful.
