“Like A Mighty Stream”
“The Bible verse that Dr. Martin Luther King quoted most often was Amos 5:24,
“But let justice roll down as waters and righteousness as a mighty stream.”
The prophet Amos was saying,
(As most of the Hebrew prophets were saying)
that what God wants is justice and right living rather than religious ceremonies for their own sake.”

God’s Love is Not Reckless

The Love of God is Not reckless
Here’s the definition:
reck•less
(describing a person or their actions) as being without thinking or caring about the consequences of an action. as in “reckless driving”
synonyms: rash, careless, thoughtless, heedless, unheeding, hasty, impetuous, impulsive, daredevil, devil-may-care, irresponsible, ill-advised, injudicious, imprudent, unwise, ill-considered, etc.
This is not what the scriptures tell us about the love of God.
God’s love is caring;
“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,”
God’s love is thoughtful;
“So that whosoever believes in Him should not perish,”
God’s love is considerate,
“But have everlasting life.”
He laid down His life for us, not recklessly, but counting and knowing the cost.
