Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me….
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
T’was grace that taught…
my heart to fear.
And grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that Grace appear…the hour I first believed.
The Lord has promised good to me…His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be…
as long as life endures
Through many dangers, toils and snares…
I have already come.
T’was grace that brought me safe thus far…
and grace will lead me home.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years…
bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise…
then when we’ve first begun.
Such a beautiful hymn…always one of my favorites! We are nothing without His grace and love.
You have put the first really big smile on my face in the past few months that I have been blogging on WP. Thank you kindly for that. My Christianity came upon me full strength after I became chronically ill nine years ago. One of my worst symptoms was the inability to sleep. After deciding I was no longer going to take my many doctor prescribed meds I quit cold turkey putting my heart in danger but after three days I of little to no sleep I cried out to Jesus for sleep and I have slept every night since than which was four years ago..
That was not my only miracle from God but certainly was living proof of His hearing my cry and acknowledging my need. I had ask numerous times for Him to take away my illness, but once He gave me sleep I knew He was keeping me in the illness to further mold me into what He wanted from me. He brought me to a good Christian man who married me despite my illnesses. He is the center of our marriage. He is definitely the truth, the life and the way. He brought me to your beautiful blogging site.
In His Love, BBE
What a beautiful testimony! Thank you for sharing, and thank you for your very kind words.
You’ve been a blessing to me today, and may God continue to bless you as well. :)
Your story would be perfect for my “Write and Share” page and I’d like to invite you to post it there if you’d like. I’m sure it would be an encouragement for many others. Smiles and Blessings. -Faith
Ooooh, I love it! It’s probably the one song we’re all allowed to sing–well, or badly–because it’s about grace, after all! God bless you.
Timeless and hits the ‘mark’ every time ;)
“The Lord has promised good to me…his WORD my hope secures” (love it!)
Blessings to you :)
