“How long will you forget me, O LORD? forever? how long will you hide your face from me?
How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
But I have trusted in your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing unto the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.”
Amen! Picture goes perfect with the scripture. I love it!! :)
I love this Psalm. I meditated on it while my childhood trauma came rushing to the surface. I think we can all relate to these words at some point in our lives…
Thankfully, God always answers our sincere cries and longings, and He never leaves us in this desperate place.
Thanks for sharing. :)
So true. It’s comforting as you’ve said that although we may be going through difficult times, the Lord never leaves us there. We are never forgotten by Him. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
