Now Faith Is

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen…

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of  the king’s commandment. By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time; Esteeming the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he looked for the recompense of the reward.

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king:

for he endured, as seeing Him who is invisible.

Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest He that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

By faith they passed through the Red sea as on dry land: which the Egyptians attempting to do were drowned.

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.”

Hebrews 11:1, 23-30

Mom, You’re The Best

“Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.

Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain:

but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”

Proverbs 31:25-30

O Glorious Day

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a Virgin
Dwelt among men, my example is He
Word became flesh and the light shined among us
His glory revealed

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer

One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day, my beloved one, bringing
My Savior, Jesus, is mine

Living, He loved me, dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming, oh, glorious day, oh glorious day
